New Concept Now in Place for Tresca in Boston's North End

Last June, we mentioned that an Italian restaurant owned by a former Boston Bruins player was being reconcepted, and now we know what kinds of changes have been made to the place.

According to an email and a press release, Tresca in Boston's North End has gotten a major face lift, to both its interior and exterior, while adding a "slight Mediterranean touch" to its Southern Italian-based menu. The dining spot, which includes seating for 75 in its "Tuscan room" and another 50 in the bar area, has also undergone a change in ownership as well, with former Boston Bruins defenseman Ray Bourque bringing in a new team including Rich Ansara (Amhreins, Appetito), Bill Galatis, (Meze in Charlestown, Dunkin Donut franchisee), and Peter Weber.

Tresca first opened its doors in the North End about a decade ago.

The address for Tresca is 233 Hanover Street, Boston, MA, 02113. Its website can be found at http://trescanorthend.com/
