Update: Yume Ga Arukara Replacing Ittyo Restaurant in Porter Exchange Building in Cambridge

[Ed note: This article was updated on September 15 to reflect new information given.]

It looks like an award-winning ramen shop in Cambridge is getting a sibling, and it will replace a nearby Japanese eatery.

According to a license commission agenda page within the city's website, Ittyo Restaurant in the Porter Exchange Building in Porter Square is requesting a tentative name change to Yume Wo Katare Udon, with the hearing taking place on Wednesday, August 9. Based on the name, this dining spot will be affiliated with Yume Wo Katare, a restaurant on the other side of Porter Square that first opened in the fall of 2012 and is known mostly for its pork-based ramen. Yume Wo Katare has received rave reviews from both local and national media outlets since opening, including the Improper Bostonian awarding it best ramen for 2015, Zagat mentioning it among its picks for best Japanese places in Boston, and Thrillist including its ramen in its Boston food bucket list.

Ittyo is a dining spot that our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) has mentioned as an under-the-radar spot to go to in part for its noodle dishes. The review can be found at this link:

The address for Ittyo (and the upcoming dining spot) is 1815 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, MA, 02140.

[September 15 update: A Facebook page from the restaurant indicates that Ittyo has been replaced by what is now called Yume Ga Arukara, and that it is indeed connected to Yume Wo Katare; in addition, a message from The Passionate Foodie confirms that Yume Ga Arukara--which had its grand opening today--will focus on udon.]
